With the changing nature of retailing and the demise of a number of large department stores, Shopping Centre owners are faced with the issue of how to repurpose large units in their portfolio.
This scheme proposed converting two levels of a former BHS store into serviced office accommodation.
The lack of daylight in the deep plan space was overcome by opening up the roof to create covered atria which could be used as breakout and casual meeting space.
Helical stairs and new lifts linked the office floors to a new reception area and double height entrance off the High Street.
