We are excited to share the news that our client, Capital & Regional, alongside the Whittington Trust, has been Highly Commended at the Building Better Healthcare Awards for Best Healthcare Development under £25 million for the Wood Green Community Diagnostics Centre. Actively involved in Project Management and Architectural reconfiguration of several areas of The Mall in Wood Green, we are incredibly pleased to have been a part of this success.
The Wood Green Community Diagnostics Centre, hosted by the Whittington Health NHS Trust, has been operating at The Mall since February 2024. Phase 1 of the facility provided X-Ray, Ultrasound, Ophthalmology, and Phlebotomy services to the local people in the heart of Haringey. Phase 2 expanded on this offer of services and now includes MRI and CT scanning.
This facility is among the first of 40 Community Diagnostic Centres opening across England, enhancing the diagnostic capacity across North Central London and making it more convenient for people to access services in their community. The centre is part of a national NHS England and NHS Improvement’s programme to expedite recovery from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on routine diagnostic testing.
We are proud to have played a key role in the development of this project, creating a home for the new facility and contributing to such an important win for our clients. The award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration that has gone into bringing this vital resource to the local community.
